FEES & REBATES

As assessments are tailored to your child or teenagers’ unique circumstances, the specific type of assessment required can be determined during the Parent Interview & Assessment Consultation.

Cognitive (IQ) Assessment: $1,600.00
Non-Verbal Cognitive (IQ) Assessment: $1,600.00
SLD / Learning Assessment: $1,900.00

Assessments
Therapy
Initial Parent-Only Consultation & Individual therapy sessions are $240.
​
Sessions are 50 minutes long, with the remaining 10 minutes of the hour designated to case notes, planning, communication and other administration.
​
The APS National Schedule of Suggested Fees recommends a fee of $311 for a 60-minute consultation. To improve access to treatment, the standard fee is set at $240 for a 50-minute consultation.
Medicare Rebates
A Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) can be provided by your GP.

Please email the MHCP to kelly@playpsychologyperth.com.au before your first consultation to assist with billing administration.

The plan allows you to claim a rebate for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. After six therapy sessions, a progress review by the referring GP is required.
​
Each session is eligible for a rebate of $96.65 and may be claimed via HICAPS.
Private Health
Please check with your insurance provider to obtain further information regarding your level of cover. HICAPS is available to complete your claim at the time of payment.
NDIS
Self or Plan-managed clients may use their funding to cover or partially cover the fees for services. Play Psychology Perth is not a registered provider. Therefore, clients who have packages managed directly by the NDIA are unable to use their NDIS funds to pay for services at Play Psychology Perth.
Cancellation Policy
A courtesy reminder is sent via email & SMS, two business days prior to your appointment. Please email kelly@playpsychologyperth.com.au to reschedule or cancel your appointment if you are unable to attend.
A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to reschedule or cancel your appointment.

Cancellations made within 24 hours, where the appointment cannot be reallocated to another client, will incur a charge of 50% of the session fee. This ensures that clients do not miss out on available appointments.
