ABOUT
I am a Registered Psychologist who holds a First Class Honours in Psychology and a Graduate Diploma of Education (Major in School Psychology). I have a special interest in child and adolescent psychology, and work with children, teenagers, and their families. I have 7 years’ experience as a School Psychologist in the public-school sector where I gained knowledge of school-based interventions and processes to support students with special needs, learning disorders/difficulties, behavioural and social-emotional concerns.

I support parents in understanding and navigating a collaborative relationship with their child’s school to ensure their educational and social-emotional needs are adequately catered for in the school environment. My experience spans both primary and high school settings, with over 7 years in WA’s largest special education school. During this time, I developed specialist knowledge and skills in assessing and supporting learning disorders (dyslexia, dyscalculia, and dysgraphia), as well as intellectual disability (ID). I have extensive experience in determining appropriate support strategies for children and teens with ADHD and ID, particularly in addressing their unique educational and psychological needs, alongside providing psychological support for those facing complex social and emotional mental health challenges.
I recognise that learning is influenced by many factors, including an individual’s learning style, cognitive ability, mental health, motivation, sense of achievement, and social demands. I have extensive experience in the assessment and identification of the following:

-
ADHD
-
Specific Learning Disorders (Dyslexia, Dysgraphia & Dyscalculia)
-
Intellectual Disability
-
Intellectual Giftedness

I am also able to identify difficulties that may be related to other childhood disorders, such as language deficits, sensory processing challenges, or developmental delays. These may require further external review by allied health professionals to ensure a comprehensive understanding of your child’s or teen’s needs.
I provide ongoing support for children, teenagers, and their families across a range of behavioural, social, emotional, and learning difficulties, in a safe, relaxed, and non-judgmental environment. When working with children and teenagers, I aim to understand and embrace their unique needs, strengths, and challenges. I believe that lasting change is made possible through a trusting therapeutic relationship, where topics are explored safely, meaningful goals are collaboratively set, and tailored interventions are implemented.

I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Mindfulness, and Play Therapy. I work with children, teenagers, and their caregivers to address a variety of presenting issues, including:
